Programme Overview

This learnership is designed to develop cross-functional retail skills, equipping candidates with hands-on experience in customer service, sales, stock management, and point-of-sale (POS) operations. Successful candidates will rotate between the sales floor and service desk, gaining competency in all core retail functions.


Key Learning Areas

  1. Customer Service & Sales

    • Assist customers with product selection and purchases.

    • Process payments/exchanges via POS systems.

    • Open new customer accounts and promote loyalty programmes.

  2. Stock & Merchandising

    • Implement Merchandise Best Practice (MBP) principles.

    • Maintain stock accuracy and minimise losses.

    • Assist with inventory counts and replenishment.

  3. Store Operations

    • Ensure store safety and security protocols are followed.

    • Handle customer queries/complaints professionally.

    • Participate in daily store maintenance.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Grade 10 (Grade 12 preferred but not mandatory).

  • Attributes:

    • Passion for fashion retail and customer interaction.

    • Willingness to learn and complete logbook assessments.

    • Strong communication skills (English + 1 other SA language).

    • Ability to work retail hours (weekends/public holidays as required).

Western Gauteng: Roodepoort, Krugersdorp, Randfontein, Carletonville, Westonaria
Southern Gauteng: CBD, Crown Mines, Bassonia, Glenvista, Lenasia, Oakdene, Soweto, Vereeniging


Programme Structure

  • Duration: 12 months (full-time, on-site).

  • Work Commitment: Minimum 120 hours/month.

  • Assessment:

    • Regular competency evaluations.

    • Logbook submissions.

    • Practical and theoretical tests.
