Qualification: Relevant Trade Test Certificate
- A completed apprenticeship or a certificate issued under the provisions of Section 28 and 30 of the Manpower Training Act, 1981, as amended, or a certificate issued under the provisions of the repealed Section 27 of the Act.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience as an Artisan.
Knowledge:
- Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act No. 85 of 1993)
- Public Financial Management Act (PFMA)
Skills:
- Computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet.
- Planning and supervisory skills.
Other: Valid driver’s license is required.

Design and produce work according to client specifications and production capabilities.
Manufacture and assemble objects using appropriate materials, equipment, and industry standards.
Conduct quality assurance inspections on produced work, equipment, and facilities.
Perform repairs and testing on equipment and machinery to ensure full functionality and compliance with norms and standards.
Conduct routine servicing and maintenance of machinery and equipment as per schedule.
Prepare specifications and manage procurement files for materials, services, and consumables.
Compile and submit technical and operational reports.
Provide inputs to operational planning and ensure adherence to safety regulations and technical standards.
Supervise and mentor subordinate staff and oversee resource planning and work scheduling.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with new technologies and technical procedures.
Perform research and literature reviews on relevant engineering and technical advancements to improve operational efficiency.
