Overview: Sibanye-Stillwater, a leading global precious metals mining company, is seeking 12 qualified individuals for permanent Guard positions within its Protection Services team in Gauteng. This role is critical for ensuring the safety and security of company assets, employees, and visitors in a high-risk environment. Minimum Requirements:

• • Education: NQF 2 (Grade 10).
  • Certification: Grade C registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA).
  • Firearm Competency: Valid firearm competency certificate issued by the South African Police Service (SAPS) for handling handguns, shotguns, self-loading rifles, or carbines for business purposes.
  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a vehicle.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a high-risk security environment.
  • Medical Fitness: Must be declared medically fit for the position and environment through a risk-based medical examination at the Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.
  • Security Clearance: Must successfully undergo security screening and clearance.
  • Citizenship: South African citizenship.

Advantageous Qualifications:

• NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate, Grade 12, or equivalent).
• Certifications in crowd control management, tactical firearm handling, defense and restraint techniques, or advanced driving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrolling and Guarding:
  • • Protect Sibanye-Stillwater assets through access control, guarding, observation, and patrolling.
    • Inspect buildings and infrastructure to ensure security and address identified risks.
    • Execute random and dedicated patrols (on foot or by vehicle) in high-risk areas.
    • Protect employees and visitors by adhering to safety protocols.
    • Facilitate crowd control and provide first-line response during security incidents.
