Vacancy: Test Engineer
Purpose of the Job
- Development, implementation and maintenance of test procedures for all train variants in accordance to train function and specifications
- Definition, specification and purchasing of all testing tools and infrastructure
- Carry-out Infrastructure test sequences, either by self-performing and/or by supervising the T&C Technicians.
- Accurate management and maintenance of the testing tools, equipment, material and instruments
- T&C process definition and implementation
- Support serial testing team in troubleshooting activities
Key responsibilities include the following:
- Respect and Promote strict compliance with EHS rules, local regulation and AZDP
- Deploy standard T&C processes
- Support T&C management team
- Ensure a good working relationship with the other departments (Eng, Industrial Quality, Supply Chain)
- Provide technical support and expertise to serial testing team
- Other job functions as required by management
- Develop appropriate risk analysis, mitigation plan and associated EHS procedures
- Development of test documentation, procedures in accordance with the applicable configuration
- Development of all necessary tools (physical and IT) required for test execution and test management
- Development and/or adaptation of the facilities and infrastructure for test execution
- Ensure the timely deployment of test procedures, tools, infrastructure
- Ensure proper operation follow-up and establishment of relevant KPI
Requirements:
- BSc (Electrical)(Eng) / BEng (Electrical) / BTech (Electrical) or equivalent
- Min 2 years’ experience in commissioning and testing of Electrical / Control / PLC systems within process industry, railways or factory automation.
- Be familiar with high risk activities in association with Electrical work and EHS requirements
- Have a good understanding of key electrical and/or mechanical processes (in particular earthing & bonding, cabling, protection and instrumentation, …)
- A solid understanding of power electronics will be beneficial
- IT proficient
- Ability to read electrical schematics and to write application software (if required).
- Ability to integrate across multi-disciplinary electrical activities (MV, Control & Instrumentation, Protection, Software)
- Excellent communication, simplifier of complex situation and/or subjects
- Organized, rigorous and delivery focused (good problem solver)
- Flexible and willing to accept new roles
- Willing to work shifts
