Minimum Requirements / Eligibility

To qualify for the Investigator position, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • degree or National Diploma in:
    • Law
    • Auditing
    • Forensic Accounting
    • Forensic Investigations
  • Minimum three years of experience in Investigations, Forensic Investigations, or Forensic Auditing.
  • Comprehensive understanding of legislative prescripts governing the Public Protector South Africa.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Case Management Systems (CMS).
  • Knowledge of auditing or investigation methodologies and best practices.
  • Understanding of South African Public Service Administration requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Fluency in English plus one other official language relevant to the Eastern Cape region.
